LICENCED TRADE DIVISION

The practice started to specialise in the Licensed Trade via the contact of John R Parkin's father, Mr S Parkin, who was an Area / District Manager for Stone's Brewery in Sheffield. The Licensed Trade Accountancy On Site Services have been built up since the 1970's. The service ensures that all business records do not leave client's premises until after the year end when the final VAT Return has been completed. Either the Stocktaker or a representative of the Accountancy Firm calls to pick the books and records up followed by a visit by the partners to finalise the Accounts after draft Accounts have been prepared. All new clients or potential new clients receive a partner visit and a business appraisal is carried out at that time to agree the actual services that we agree to provide for each individual client. Stocktakers are independent to the practice, but provide a continuous link with our clients via their periodical visits for stocktaking and assistance in on site bookkeeping this maintains client contact throughout the country with our clients.

The overall services provided to Licensees and potential Licensees are:-

- A review of potential outlets that have been offered to clients

- Preparation of Business Plans, Cash Flow Forecasts to assist in financing aquistions. This in essence is a Business overview and we do have contacts with UK Financial Consultants to put forward proposals for financial assistance from various lenders, including the Brewers

- Rent Review Negotiations

- Break Even Forecasts

- Tax and VAT Planning

- Stocktaking and On Site Bookkeeping Services provided via Independent Stocktakers

- Payroll

- Periodical / Annual Accounts / Completion of Tax Returns

- Review of Business Rates

- Assistance in any problems surrounding the taking of a Public House and running it

- BBS Limited (trading as Bar Business Sales). This associated business is a commercial business sales agency business that assists in pub sales
